It happened one night-Angela,Jung

Looking the scenes of this movie, I am very interested in dividing of the room when they have to rest in somewhere. This dividing of the room shows us the relationship of man and woman. By using this method, the two people couldn’t know about the thing that what the other person doing, but the audience can watch conducts of two people.

Also, the most interesting section to me was this movie frequently tried to show just simple space not showing huge scene. Like in the scene when two people have conversation, this movie shows just this situation. The shot was concentrated on the characters wholly. In this manner, the audience can concentrated more on the scenes or situations without feeling boring.

The sort of this movie is romantic comedi. I surprised at the movie’s atmosphere. Because I think that all of the past movies couldn’t be made like this sort of movie. Like current other romantic comedi dramas or movies, this movie also has very simple story and many romantic situations. ‘One night happened’ offered many basis of rommantic settings to these kind of movies. Especially, the scenes like the guy pick up the girl on his back, the night that they can get together or running out of the wedding. Actually, these situations are still using in the movies of this sort.

  1. Some interesting points here, Angela, particularly about the persistence of the conventions of the romantic comedy. "It Happened One Night" was kind of a prototype. You should spend a bit more time talking about the use of space in those scenes in the motels that you mention in the first paragraph, and refer specifically to the pictures I post.
