It Happened One Night (Frank Capra, U.S.A., 1934, 105 minutes)

This week, I'd like you to use your post to briefly analyze the mise en scène of one of the images below. You should rough out a full analysis (according to the list of elements at the end of Chapter 2 in Gianetti) before answering. In your answer, identify the most significant elements in the shot's mise en scène and explain how they contribute to your reading of the image. Be sure to consider the dominant and subsidiary contrasts, the way in which the image is photographed (angle, camera proxemics, etc.), and the arrangement of elements vertically, horizontally, and in depth.
